(4)Port Townsend, Yiashington August 15, 1944 The CITY COUNCIL, of the City of Port 'Townsend, Washington, met in regular session, this 15th day of August, 1944, at 7:30 o'clock P.L:., in the Council Chambers of the City Pall, Sayor H. E. Anderson prosiding. BOLL CALL Officers and members noted present upon roll call were as follows: Mayor H. E. Anderson, City Attorney, J. Daly, City Clerk, 0, F. Christian, and Councilmen G. F. Idueller, Edward Buse, Plm. Lammers Sr., Dennis Sullivan and J. M. Carroll; Councilman Robt. 'i7, zrown arriving during the session. :SINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSIU11 It was moved by Councilman Carroll and seconded by Councilman Mueller, that the minutes of the previous session be approved as written. Motion carried. REPORTS UP OFFICERS City Treasurer The monthly report of the City 'treasurer for the month of July, 1944, was presented and read and referred to the Committee on Finance and Claims. Hater Superintendent The monthly report of the 71ater Superintendent for the month. of July, 1944, was presented and read and referred to the Committee on 7,ater and Drainage. The report of the Water Superintendent showing flow of water through main line meters for the week ending August 14th., and the National Paper Products Companyts meter, for the weekending August 12th, was presented and read and referred to the Cormtittee on Tater an� Drainage. COMMUNICATIONS Assoc, of '!lash. Cities An AMA P:ashington News Letter, a service of the Assoc. of Wash. Cities, was acknowledged received,and ordered filed for reference, in the office of the City Clerk. Brown Arrives Councilman Robt. e. Brown arrived at this time, and assumed his seat and took his part in the subsequent proceedings. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS I Rate Ordinance A proposed Ordinance, fixing the price of water to consumers, which was read in full for the first reading, at the last regular session, and incorporated in the minutes thereof, was read in full at this time, for the second reading. It was thereupon moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Carroll, that the third reading be by title only. Upon roll call vote, all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative, and motion was declared carried. Third Heading and Passage The proposed Ordinance was read by title only for the third reading, and it was then moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Carroll, that the Ordinance do now pass. Upon roll cal_ vote, all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative, and motion was declared carried. Ul*'!!;IS ED AND NEW BUSINESS Re: -Residual Reports City Attorney Daly, informed the Council,that a copy of e letter from Mr. 'Nilson Bow, of the State Departcent of Health, relative to the taking of daily residual readings, and reporting same, had been sent to Mr. E. :. Erickson, requesting his approval of the plan to have these readings taken by some party residing et the Caretakers Quarters, at the City La,:e. 'good Bids Called It was moved by Councilman Brown and seconded by Councilman Carroll, that the wnyor and City Clerk issue a call for bids,to furnish the City Hall with ten cords of the best wood procurable; said bids to be opened at the next regular session. Lotion carried. ADJOUhNY1_NT There being no further business before the Council for their consideration at this time, it was moved by Councilman Brown and seconded by Councilman Carroll, that the Council do now adjourn.
