It was moved by Councilman Brown and seconded by Councilman Carroll, that the
minutes of the previous session be approved as read. Motion carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
City Treasurer
The monthly report of the City Treasurer for the month of June, 1944, was I�ay
presented and read and referred to the Committee on Finance and Claims.

Mayor H.L•. Anderson and Councilman J. F. Liaroldo arrived during the rending of 10
the Treasurer's report. Councilman Maroldo assumed his chair, and Mayor Anderson
signified that he wished Councilman Lammers, Toyor Pro-Tem, to continue as presiding
officer.

The monthly report of the Water Superintendent for the month of June, 1944, wus
presented and rend and referred to the Coirmittee on Water and Drainage. R-1i .x

the week ending July lst, was presented and read and ordered filed.

The 51st Annual and Third War Conference of the International Asso-
ciation of Chiefs of Police will be held at the Hotel Statler in

Cleveland, Ohio, August 14-15-16, 1944. This is note "convention."

During the three days, sessions are scheCuled from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.,

and two evening sessions will be held. Present will be law enforcement
administrators from all sections of the United States and Canada, and
representatives of Cuba, Mexico, and two South American countries to
discuss vital problems of law enforcement today, an well as problems which
must be solved if we are to maintain a high level of local law enforce-

ment during the transition from war to peace.
