Inasmuch as the construction of such a project will ruin the adjoining area for residential purposes, we, the following surrounding property and home owners respect- fully request that, upon a hearing upon such request, that the same be denied. Erickson }yfq)"t Agreeable to your instructions I made an examination, on Saturday, October.'0, ',T of the continuous wood pipe line that supplies the Crown Zellerbach pulp mill at Port Townsend with water. This examination was made in company with Lir. Schaeffer who is in charge of limJ °j 'y the pipe line maintenance. atr�r l'r ;kNEr•"� ' Seven excavations had been made that exposed the pipe for its full circum- ference. These openings were spaced to cover slightly over one mile of the line between the storage lake and the mill. The overall distance between lake and mill is between seven and eight miles. I i Stay I ; "a The uniform condition of the pipe where exposed was such as to P P P point out the vd st K probability that the entire line is in e.nproximatoly the same condition. �K The pipe line consists of an untreated continuous wood stave pipe having a 30-inch diameter (inside).
