Supplies for Recreation Program 18.39 Total ..................$ 152.79 Bills Allowed It was moved by Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman Maroldo that the for- going bills be allowed and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to issue warrants upon the proper funds in payment thereof. Upon roll -call vote, all four Councilman present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Other Claims The City Clerk at this time presented the claims of James West upon the Current Expense Fund and of William John Cunningham upon the City Street Fund for separate consideration in- asmuch as it was his understanding that the Council desired to change the rate of pay for these labor claims, but no official sanction of such a raise had as yet been given.' It was moved by Councilman brown and seconded by Councilman Carroll that the two fore- going claims be allowed upon a basis of a rate of $7.00 per day, and that the warrants be drawn in .an amount to conform therewith. Upon roll -call vote, all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Sullivan Arrives Councilman Sullivan arrived during the salary -wage discussion preceding, assumed his seat in the Council, and cast his vote upon roll call. BUILDING PERMITS Requests for building permits were presented and read as follows: From Albert F. Stilson, to -wit: Port Townsend, Washington September 7, 1943 Honorable Mayor and City Council Port Townsend, Washington Gentlemen: Permission is requested to build an addition, 161 x 141, to my dwelling sit- uate Block 266, Eisenbeis Addition; at an estimated cost of -approximately $25.00 for materials.
