COLMUNICATIONS
From Officer in Charge, Naval Shore Facilities, to -wit:
15 May 1943
Gentlemen:
Re: Request for permission to tap City of Port Townsend eater Main
The Navy Department has recently authorized for construction by this contract an
installation at Old Fort Townsend which will require a small water supply to care
for approximately twenty men.
No water supply is available at the location; hence, permission is requested to
tap the City of Port Townsend water main near Station 1723 plus 97 with a one -
inch outlet.
If permission is granted, the installation will be made in a manner precluding in-
terruption of flow in the main.
Any equitable proposal suggested by your office regarding payment to be made for
crater received will receive the prompt attention of this office.
An early reply will be greatly appreciated as this Contract would like to effect
the connection early in the week of May 16.
Very truly yours
A. F. GHIGLIOhiE
