STAI':DING COM11ITTEES Finance and Claims The report of the Committee on Finance and Claims to whom was referred the matter of the Treasurer's Report for the month of March, 1943, was presented and read and ordered filed. Water and Drainage The report of the Committee on Water and Drainage to whom was referred the matter of ® the Water Superintendent's Report for the month of March, 1943, was presented and read and ordered filed. Respectfully submitted, W. A. Brumond Permit Granted Councilman Lammers reporting as a member of the Building Co:mmittee informed the Coun- cil that the work to be done as stated in the foregoing request did not Infringe upon the provisions of the city ordinance covering such matters and the object of this work was to increase pitch of the roof in order that better run-off might be obtained. Councilman Lammers then moved that the permit be granted and a,on second of Councilman_ Sullivan to th motion, same was carried by voice vote. COMIMU11ICATIONS From Public Library Board, to -wit: April 27, 1943 Honorable mayor & City Council, City of Port Townsend, Port Townsend, Washington. Gentlemen: At a recent meeting of the Library Board the matter of repairs and mainte- nance of the building came up for considerable discussion. It was the unanimous opinion of the board that this matter be reported to his honor the mayor and city council with a request, that at an early date, the city engineer bake a survey of building so as to place it in first class condition. Bugge From State Dept, of Hi -ways A form letter of the State Dept. of Hi -ways relative to the distribution of funds accrued to the credit of cities of the state and showing this city's portion to be $7,477. was read and ordered filed. From Association of hashington Cities Various information bulletins of the Association of Washington Cities were presented, topics covered outlined, and were ordered filed for reference in the office of the City Clerk.
