The Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce, having been apprised of your
action concerning an attempt to secure your consent to logging operations near
the Port Townsend water shed, takes thin opportunity in expressing its approval

We feel that our water shed, forming the basis of our water supply is
a matter of such importance to the City and community, that utmost vigilance
must be taken to protect one of our greatest assets.
In line with your action we feel that no logging should be permitted
at or near the water shed until further investigation shows that no damage to
the water supply of the City of Port Townsend will result therefrom.
Very truly yours,
