1,INUTES OF THE REGULAR SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, MEMBER 3, 1942, continued.
Street Department
A Requisition by the Street Dept. for 600 feet of 6-inch concrete drain pipe eras pre-
sented and read and it was thereupon moved by councilman Sullivan and seconded by councilor
Llaroldo that said requisition be granted. Motion carried.

A proposed ordinance providing for a change in the hours of meeting of the City Counc

of the City of Port 'Tow:nsend and repealing all ordinances
in conflict therUnwith.

Section 1. That beginning on January 1, 1943, the meetings
of the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, 71ashington, shall be
held on Tuesday of each week, and said council shall meet at the hour of
of 7:30 o'clock P.M.
Section 2. That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance be published once in the Port
Townsend Leader to be in force and take effect as provided by law.

Councilman Sullivan brought before the council at this time the matter of the diffi-
culty experiences by various departments in obtaining gasoline from the city hall pump
when needed.
After short informal discussion, it was mutually agreed by those present that this
matter could best be decided in an informal meeting with the fire chief.
Re: Council room Dim -out
As a consequence of the proposed ordinance providing for the meeting of the council
during the hours of darkness, the matter of providing proper shading for .%indo•as of the
council room in order to comply v;ith dim -out regulations :ras brought up for discussion
and it rips generally agreed that there would be no difficulty in providing for such
work and same could be accomplished before the date of the change 1n the time of meeting.
Re: Cable Complaint
Councilman Vim. Lanniers, Sr. reported that he was in receipt of a complaint from Mr.
John A. Cable that due to the sewer work done on willow Street the contour of said street
in front of his home had been changed so as to allow drainage water to run in upon his
property threatening the foundation of his dwelling.
Discussion among those present disclosed that this situation could be remedied by
the cutting of a small ditch at the surb line and it •rids agreed thst the city street
Superintendent be instructed to correct the present condition.
Re:- Garbage Dept, personnel
Councilman Sullivan reported that L:r. Lyman l';;ampler who had been employed by the city
as driver of the Garbage truck operating in the down -town area was now unable to work be-
cause of an injury to his back; that crew visa now working short handed because of the
inability to secure additional labor and that some inconvenience to patrons would result
therefrom.
No further business: appearing for consideration by the council at thin time, it •,was
moved by councilman :.iuroldo and seconded by councilmen Sullivan that the c ncil do now
adjourn. Motion carried.
