The City Council of the City of Port, Townsend do ordain as follows: Section 1. That the following described budget be, and the same is hereby fixed and adopted for the Crater Department of the City of Port Townsend, for the year 1943, divided into the total amounts in each of the following classes comprising the whole of said budget, to -wit: Sal•uries and Slages N 70630.00 Operation and Maintenance 7,380.00 Oapital Outlay 2Si000.00 Interest and Bond Redemption 46,900.00 Section 2. That this ordinance be published once in the Port Townsend Leader, and to be in force and take effect as provided by law. PISSED by the City Council, October 13, 1942. Upon roll call vote, nll'four councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. 1943 Tnx Levy Ordinance An ordinance providing for the making and fixing of the tax levy for the city of Port Townsend for taxes for the year 1943 which visa read in full for• the first reading at the last regular, session was presented and read at this time in full fox- the second reading as follows: ORDIITPN CE 110. 1152 AN ORDIi1A:ICE making and fixing the tar: levy for the City of Port Town- send for taxes for the year 1043. The City Council of the City of Port Townsend do ordain as follows: Section 1. That there is hereby levied upon ull taxable prop- erty in the City of Port Townsend, tlaa'_:9.;;gtou, the following sums of money and rates of tax levy for the dif Brent purposes herein designated, for the year 1943, and the rate of taxation upon the dollar of assessed valuation of said City for such purposes is as follows: First: For the payment of current expenses and fox• the Current Expense Fund, the sum of N9,476.12, and tire- rate of tax levy fox' said fund is hereby fixed at 9.50 mills on tine dollar. Second: For the purpose of maintaining a public library and for the Library Fund, the sum of $1,745.97, and the rate of tax levy for said pur- pose is hereby fixed at: 1.75 mills on the dollar. Third: For the purpose of muintaining a public. peek and for the Park. Fund, the sum of $997.70, and the I•rite of tree levy for said purpose is hereby M:ed at 1.00 mills on the dollar. Sixth: For the payment of interest on bonds and bond redemption, General Indebtedness 1931 Plater Bond and Interest Fund, the sum of y997.70, and the rate of tax levy for said purpose is hereby fixed at 1.00 mills on the ,dollar. Seventh: For the payment of indebtedness of the City -of Post Townsend Im ovrn as the "Indebtedness Fund", the sum of $6,983.88, and the rate of tax levy for suld purpose Is hereby fired at 7.00 mill^ on the dollar. Third Reading, and Passage_ Sullivan Arrives Councilman Dennis Sullivan arrived during the reading of the above ordinance for the third time and as::umed his seat in the council. The levy ordinance as entered above was read by title only for the third reading and upon motion by councilman Larmners, seconded by counci.lnan Carroll that the said ordinance do now pass, the roll was called for vote Lind all five councilmen present having voted in the affirmative, the motion was declared carried.
