RECESS
It was moved by councilman Maroldo and seconded by councilman Brown that the council
recess at this time (7:55P.L1.) for a short period. Llotion carried.
Reconvened and Roll Call
The City Council reconvened in regular session at 8:35 O'clock P.M. and upon roll
call the following officers and members were noted present: Mayor, H. E. Anderson, City
Attorney, Y1. J. Daly, City Clerk, C. F. Christian and councilmen, W. B. Cornett, J. F.
Maroldo, Robt. W. Brown, 71m. Lw.:lners, Sr., Dennis Sullivan and J. M. Carroll.
STREET VACATION HEARING SET 9
It was moved by councilman Brown and seconded by councilman Maroldo that the city (�
Clerk post notices of a hearing to be held at_.the regular session of April 7, 1942 upon
the request of Mr. IN. A. Myers for the vacation of that portion of Kuhn Street lying be-
tween 24th street and the acreage tract to the North as requested in a letter by Mr.
V1. A. Myers which was presented and read at the regular session of February 3? 19 2 and
incorporated in the minutes thereof. Upon roll call vote all six councilmen�'ve e in iC
the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
ADJOURNMENT
No further business appearing for consideration by the council at this time, it was
moved by councilman Maroldo and seconded by councilman Brown that the council do now

The City Council of the city of Port Townsend met in regular session on Tuesday, the
17th day of March 1942 at 7:30 Otclock P.M. in the council chambers of the City Hall,
Mayor pro tem, Vim. Lammers, Sr. presiding.
ROLL CALL
Upon roll call officers and members answering present were as follows:
City Attorney, V1. J. Daly, City Clerk, C. F. Christian and councilmen Robt. 11. Brown,
Wm. Lammers, Sr., Dennis Sullivan and J. Li. Carroll.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION
It visa moved by councilman Brown and seconded by councilman Sullivan that the minutes

of the previous session be approved as written. Motion carried.
BILLS AND CLAIMS
It was moved by councilman Brown and seconded by councilman Sullivan that the rules
of the council relative to time for consideration of claims be suspended in order that
®
the council might at this time consider the claims which follow. Upon roll call vote,
all four councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
Upon the City Street Fund

Paul DeChamplain Greasing Equipment 50.00
Bills: Allowed
The foregoing claims having been approved by the department head and the Finance
committee, it was moved by councilman Brown and seconded by councilman Carroll that the
said claims be allowed and that the mayor and city clerk be authorized to issue warrants
upon the City Street Fund in payment thereof. Upon roll call vote all four councilmen
present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
City Treasurer
The monthly report of the city Treasurer for the month of February, 1942 was presented
and read and referred to the Finance committee.
Water Superintendent
The monthly report of the 'hater Superintendent for the month of February, 1942 visa
presented and read and referred to the water committee.
The report of the Vlater Superintendent showing the flow of water through the main
line meters for the week ending March 16, 1942 and the National Paper Products Company's
meter for the week ending March 14, 1942 was presented and read and ordered filed.
City Attorney
City Attorney, Daly reported that he had addressed communications to the Quarter
Master department at Fort Norden relative to the delayed payment of water supplied to
Fort Flagler and to the Navy Section Base relative to :rater supplied to shops of the
base but had as yet received no answer.
