One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars or imprisonment in the city jail for not more than 30 days, or by both such fine and said imprisonment. Section 11. SEPARABILITY OF PROVISIONS It is the intention of the City Council that each separate provision of this ordinance shall be deemed independent of all other provisions herein, and it is further the intention of the City Council that if any provision of this ordinance be declared invalid, all other provisions thereof shall remain valid and enforceable. Section 12. That this ordinance be published once in the Port Townsend Loader to be in force and take effect five days from and after the date of such publication. PASSED by the City Council this 24th day of February, 1942. APPROVED by the Mayor this 25th day of February, 1942. Mayor Attest: City Clerk It was moved by councilman Lammers and seconded by councilman Maroldo that the first reading be considered as the second reading and that the third reading be by title only. Upon roll call vote all six councilman present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Third Reading and Passage The foregoing ordinance was read by title only for the third reading and it was there- upon moved by councilman Brown and seconded by councilman Carroll that the ordinance do now pass. Upon roll call vote all six councilman present voted in the affirmative and moti was declared carried. BILLS A14D CLAIMS The order of business at this time reverted to that of Bills and Claims and the claim of Pope & Talbot, Inc., for final payment in the sum of $2000.00 for the purchase of the "Lord's Laken property and the city of Port Townsend was due on or before March 1st of this year visa presented for approval by the council. It was moved by councilman Brown and seconded by councilman Carroll that the claim be paid as per written agreement, and that a warrant be regularly drawn in the sum of $2000.00. Upon roll call vote all councilmen present voted "In and the motion was de- clared carried. RECESS It was moved by councilman Maroldo and seconded by councilman Brown that the council recess for a short period at this time (8:12 P.M.). Motion carried. RECONVENED AND ROLL CALL The council reconvened from recess at 16:40 01clock P.M. and upon roll call there were present, Mayor H. E. Anderson, City Attorney, W. J. Daly who acted as clerk of the session, City Clerk, C. F. Christian having been excused and councilman J. M. Carroll, W. B. Cornett, Robt. W. Brown, Dennis Sullivan and Wm. Lammers, Sr. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES The Water committee of the council reported favorably upon the request of officials of the National Paper Products Company for a modification of the lease between said company and the city of Port Townsend as presented in written form by said National Paper Products Company,i5corporated in full in the records of the minutes of the city council under date of the regular session of May 20; 1941. Councilman Carroll moved that the modification of lease be accepted providing for a maximum flow of 300,000 gallons per 24 hour day through what is known as the Hadlock-Irondale tap upon the city water main. This motion was seconded by councilman Sullivan and upon roll call vote all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. ADJOURNMENT No further business appearing for consideration by the council at this time, it was moved by councilman Brown and seconded by councilman Cornett that the council do now adjourn, (10.45 P.M.). Motion carried.
