Insurance .40 Total - - - - - 636.73 It was moved be Councilman Brown that the foregoing Claims be paid if sufficient funds were available but there being no second to this motion, it was shortly withdrawn. RECESS It was'moved be Councilman Carroll and seconded be Councilman Maroldo that the Council recess at this time (8:200o'clock P.M.) for a short period. Motion carried. RECONVENED AND ROLL CALL The City Council reconvened in regular session at 9:05 o'clock P.M. and upon roll call. the following officers and members were noted present: Mayor H. E. Anderson, City Attorney W. J. Daly,'City Clerk, C. F. Christian and Councilmen J. F. Maroldo, Robt. W. Brown, Wm. Lammers, Sr., Dennis Sullivan and J. M. Carroll. Sewer Repair Claims Allowed It was moved be Councilman Brown and seconded by Councilman Carroll that Claims here- tofore listed for expenses to repair the Monroe Street sewer main be alloyed and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to issue warrants upon the Current Expense Fund in pay- ment thereof. Upon Roll Call vote all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSE The application of Richie Jensen doing business as Port Townsend Yellow Cab for renewal of the City -License of three "For Hire" cars (taxi cabs) was presented and read as follows: A P P L IC A T I 0 N TO: THE MAYOR, and TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND RICHIE JENSEN, d/b/a Yellow Cab Company of Port Townsend, Washington, hereby represents to the Mayer and to the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington, that said city has'heretofore granted this applicant three (3) permits -to operate three (3) taxicabs, and his also heretofore granted this applicant permission to occupy a parking space or zone next to the curb adjacent to the Delmonico Hotel. And this applicant hereby and herewith asks permission of the City of Port Town- send, to occupy said taxi -zone during the year 1942, and in addition asks that his permits, to operate three taxicabs in the City of Port Townsend, be renewed and herewith tenders Five ($5.00) Dollars for each permit, or a total of Fifteen ($15.00) Dollars. Water Committee The report of the committee on Water and Drainage to whom was referred the matter of the Water Supt.'s reports for the months of September and October, 1941 was presented and read and ordered filed. BUILDING PERMITS A request for permit to make building alterations was presented and read as follows: Port Townsend, Washington November 25, 1941 License Granted It was moved be Councilman Maroldo and 'seconded be Councilman Brown that the Licenses+ Lpon three cabs as applied in the foregoing co"munication be renewed. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS Re: Pin Ball Ordinance It was moved by Councilman Maroldo and seconded by Councilman Brown that tbeCity orney be instructed to present at the next regular meeting an Ordinance providing for of $1,000.00 for an operator's license for skill game (pin ball) machines and a fee $2.50 per month or fraction thereof for each machine in use.
