Protest Presented A group of property owners living to the vicinity of the proposed vacation presents at this time a written protest as follows : City Council of Port Townsend,; 7-21-41 Gentlemen: ) 'We, the undersigned, protest the vacating of Reed Street, Jackson to Bluff. We.see no reason why it should be vacated on the request of owners of adjacent property, who are not resident of our City, and who do not know of the value it is to our City as a View Point. It is second only to Sunset Point on Discovery Bay as a View Point and many visitors to the city use it for a View Place of Sound, Straits, and Mountains, which causes no harm to those asking street vacating. This spot should be advertised as Port Townsend's best View Point and more people use it as hundreds did the night of July Fourth to see the fireworks display from Fort Worden. %'le, therefore, request your Honorable Body that this street remain open. SIGHED: Robert E. Witheridge, Earl 1)1. Helander, Ralph I. Steele, L. G. McCleary, C. D. Slow, Jr., Mrs. R. Kern, Vloodron Andrus, Edward A. 'r,'itheridge, Paul Danzer, M. C. Tucker, L. E.
