Re: Fire Works in City
Councilman Larumers stated that in -as -much as the 4th of July holiday was near lie though
it would be well for the members of the Council to give some consideration to the matter
of the spiv and discharge of fire works with the City. lie reported that lie had received
a number of complaints about this practice and that thoughtbere �•;as a City Ordinance pro-
hibtinF some, this ordinance had not been Enforced to any extent during the past few ,years. �-
He stated further that merchants had already ordered these articles for spiv purposes, and
a rigid enforcement right work quite a hardship upon local merchants and thatit would be
well for members of the Council to keep the subject in mind and give it due consideration.

The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington met in regular session
the 17, day of June , 1914 at 7:30 o1clock P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, Mayor Pro -Tam, William Lammers Sr., Presiding.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION
It was moved by Councilman Carroll and seconded by Councilman Brown that the read-
ing of the minutes of -the present session be supended. Motion carried.

The monthly report of the City Treasurer for the month of May 1941 was presented
and read and referred to the Finance Committee.
Chief of Police
Monthly report of the Chief of Police for the month of May 1941, showing arrests
was outlined and ordered filed.

Water Superintendent
Monthly report of the hater Superintendent for the month of May 1941 was presented
and read and referred to the 1Vater Committee.
Report of the Vlater Supertendent, showing the flow of water for the main line meters
for the week ending June 16, and the National Paper Products Meter for the week ending
June 14, was presented and read and ordered filed.
BUILDING PERMITS
Requests for permission to build and to make repairs were presented and read as
follows:
