Enclosed herewith place find the application of the Olympic Gas Company for occupation
license for the year 1941, which application covers the gross revenues of the gas company
for 1940.
We are also enclosing herewith our January installment on this license of10.48, and all
future installments will be made on the basis of $9.00 per month.
Wo regret that vie have been delayed in filing this application, but it Tina some time after
the first of the year before the books could be brought up to date to give you this

In checking this operation with others of similar character throughout the State, vie find
that the occupation tax in Port 'Townsend at 2% is just twice the amount of other cities wit
gas companies." We wish to refer you particularly to the City of Tacoma where the occupatic
+
tax of the Washington Gas & Electric ompany on its properties amounts to 1; of its gross
r.
