Shall the City of Po. t Townsend pursuant to a systems. or plan therdbr, specified and
adopted by Ordinance Plo. 1�23 of said city, at an estimated cost of �5000.00, Hake the
additions to and extensions of its server system, as therein described and mown as .allow
Street Sevier", and for said Purpose issue and sell its bonds In an an a:aot:nt not exceeding
N5000.00, payable solely from the revenues of its sewer system as provided in said
Ordinance$
That the whole number of votes cast upon said proposition at said election was 156B,
of which number 1258 were cast in favor of said proposition and 310 were cast against said
proposition. .I

Requisitions for letterheads for the City Treasurer's office, and for 2 - 6.00 x 16
tires for Slater Dept. truth, were presented and read, whereupon it was moved try Councilman
Robt. Brown, a:id seconded by Councilman Lannu.rs, that said requisitions be granted.
Motion carried.

Re: Blinker Light
Councilman Lewis stated taint it was his opinion that a traffic light of the blinker
type was badly needed at the intersection of the Olympic Highway and Thomas Street, to
regulate the speed of traffic at this point. He stated further that while he had no
definite information as to the cost of same, it was !nIs opinion t:^at the approximate cost
for the light and installation would run about 'R65.00.
Councilmr n Robt. 3--own confirmed the opinions of 0ounciln:an Lewis for the need of
such a light, stating that he thought it would have a tendency to slow traffic at this
otherwise dangerous intersection, making drivers of vehicles more atvare of the need for
caution at this point..
After more or less formal discussion of the subject, it was moved by Co.:ncilman
Lewis and .seconded by Councilman "ullfvan, that the city purchase and install a blinker
light at the above -named locatim, notion carried.
Re. Chimacum Water Petition
County -City Health Officer, L. E. Foster, who had been invited to inform the Council
- as to ,he status of the present Chimacum •eater supply, as regards ti-:e health of that
community, V-'as giv n the floor at th_s time and briefly outlined the condition as it
exists in that locality at present. He mmphasized C:ne fact that wb'le the present water
supply as not dnrl roue to health, it was inadequate, unpalatible, and poorly protected

to insure the continued present degree of purity. He added that in case of any sickness
traceable to tk:e present water supply, it would be necessary to condemn the .same, and woull
11 make it quite a problem for some of the people to obtain water for household uses.
It was moved by Councilman ''ichards, s,nd seconded by Councilman Lam^iers, after
general discussion by the Council as a whole, that the Water Supt, prepare figures on the
approximate cost and probab,e revenues of the proposed line, and that the Committee meet
Interested artier.
