REPORTS OF OFFIC1315 City Attorney A written report of City Attorney Daly visa presented and read as follows: December 3, 1940 Honorable Mayor slid City Council City of Port Townsend Gentlemen: I forgot to inform you that the Denartment of Public Service last month entered an order in the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph rate case, directing that co:npm y to "puss on" to its subscribers in any city innposing occupational taxes, the amount of any such tax at elto the tax rate. In conjunction with tine cities of Seattle, Olympia, Spokane, llayton, SCourt and Bellingham, I have joined The City of Port Townsend in an anneal to the Superior Court of the State of Washington for Thurston County, seeking a review of the order. If the Denartment prevails, it means that the citizens of Port, Townsend will have to pay the 2% city occupational tax in addition to their phone bill.
