Let me thank you for your letter of September 24, transmitting a certified copy of the
resolution adopted by the Port Townsend City Council on 'Ieptenber 17, 1940.
As you probably know, the United Otates Housing +uthority has :o funds presently available
for further housing projects of any kind, however, while no additional funds have as yet
been ,nade available by the Congress to the USBA, there is a good possibility that this may
be done in the near future.
It is noted you have sent copies of this resolution to our Regional Office in San Francise
I an sending that office a copy of this let•usr in order that it may keep in touch with you
on developments.

BE IT RESOLVED BY TI1E CITY COUNCIL OF T1IE CITY OF PORT TURNSE.ID:
What the Olympic Gravity 'dater Replacement `und be, and the same is hereby abolished, and
the cash balance in said fund as of September 30, 1940, to -wit: The sum of $251.99, be a
the same is hereby ordered transferred to the general fund of the Olympic Gravity "'later
System and the `'ity Treasurer be, and she is hereby, authorized to make appropriate
transfer entry upon the books of her office.

Resolution Adopted
It was moved by Councilman 11obt. Brown and seconded by Councilman Lammers, that the
foregoing resolution be adopted. Upon roll call vote all five Councilmen present voted
in the affirmative, and the :notion was declared carried.
Budget Ordinances
Ordinances confirming budgets for the year 1941 were presented, read and acted upon
as follows:
ORDINANCE NO. 1119
All ORDINANCE of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, fixing the salaries of the City
Treasurer, City Clerk and the City Attorney, for their respective terns,
commencing January 1, 1941.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT T0111,'sE.dD DO ORDAIN AS FOiL0111S:
Section 1. That the salary to be paid to the City Treasurer for the two year term
commencing January 1, 1941, be and the same is hereby fixed at the sum of $115.00 monthly;
That the salary to be paid to the City Clerk for the four year term, commencingJanuary 1, 1941, be and the same is hereby fired at the sum of $135.00 monthly;
That the salary to be paid to the City Attorney for the four year term, commencing
January 1, 1941, be and the same is hereby fixed at the sum of $90.00 monthly.
Section 2. 'hat this ordinance be published once in the Port Townsend Leader, and to
take effect and be in force on the first day of January, 1941.
Passed by the City Council 1940.

The above ordinance was read in full for the first reading, whereupon it was roved by
Councilman Lammers and seconded by Councilman obt, =;rown, that the first reading be
considered the second, and the third reading be by title only, Upon Roll Call vote, all

five Councilmen presented voted in the affiraative, and the :;otton was declared carried,
Third Reading and Passage
The foregoing ordinance was then re:'d by title only for the third reading, and it was
then moved by Councilman 1Saroldo and seconded by Councilman hobt. Broom that the said
ordinance do now pass. Upon Roll Call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the
affirmative, anal the ;notion was declared carried.
