Brown ..,I BUDGET SESSION Mayor IIirtzler stated that the purpose of the session was the consideration of the City Budget for the year 1941, as provided by statute. -�� The City Clerk informed those present that the preliminary budget, as reundeofbthehe Mayor, was on file, and the public notice had been published to that effect, hearing to be held on this date. BUDGET COI:SDERATIOII 1 Mayor Hirtzler thereupon announced that consideration of the Budget for the year 1941 .; visa now in order. The Current Expense budget eras considered first, and upon consideration of each item as set forth for the various departments,and after some informal discussion among the members present, it was unanimously agreed that no further changes be necessary. The Olympic 'later Gravity Fund, the Library Fund, and the Park Fund budgets vrere fully considered and by unanimous agreement, no changes were made in the preliminary form. City Street Budget Upon consideration of the City Street Fund Budget, Councilman Robt. Brown, Chairman of the Street Committee for the present term, asked that the item of Materials and Supplie $4 reduced and that4the0item ofORenewalshand 111iscellaneousoNew Construction ew Constructin be reduced rabe6added inothe sum - � sum o0$ of 2745.50. There being no objection by any of the members present after proper consideration, these changes were made in the preliminary form. I No changes were made or suggested in the budgets for Bond Redemption and Interes Funds, inasmuch as certain definite amounts must be provided for this purpose, and consideration of the City Budget for the year 1941 visa thereupon completed. Unanimous Changes Confirmed It vras coved by Councilman Aobt, Brown, seconded by Councilman Maroldo, that all changes made in the Budget by unanimous agreement, be now confirmed and adopted. Upon Roll Call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative, and the motion visa declared carried. Compote Budget Adopted It was then moved by Councilman Lammers, and seconded by Councilman hobt. Brown, that the City Budget, as revised at this session, be now adopted, and that the City Attorney be and he is hereby directed to prepare the necessary ordinances to confirm the said Budgets and to submit same at the next regular session of the Council. Upon Roll Call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative, and the motion visa declared carried. ADJOURN! IT Upon motion of Councilman oullivan, seconded by Councilman Phillip Brown, the Council voted to adjourn. A full, true and correct copy of the said Budgets is hereafter appended.
