In connection with the new law requiring aliens to register, there in a considerable
increase of applicants for citizenship, and it has become necessary to provide citzen-

Miss Ethel Cowgill of Quilcene is employed by the WPA and gives instruction to aliens in
y , rrs a it1 Quilcene. She has secured permission to hold classes in Port Townsend once a week, but
�'•v +,.?„sYd L has no funds for rent or travel. It is thought each alien would be willing to contribute
tint a few cents toward her expenses which she estimates mould be 01.00 per night.
She would like a meeting place which would be centrally located and it is in that
F• x}� t + .'S connection a request is made for the use of the Police Court Room at the City Hall, one
night a week. Monday has been suggested as the best night, beginning October 7th.
Will you please give this careful consideration and advise me if you can comply with the
