Mr. Lyman M. Ellis presented a map of a new plat plan in the 6th ward and requested a hearing date be
set to consider this elan. Councilman Hogland made a motion to set the plat hearing date on Feb. 15th,
seconded by Councilman Judy. Motion carried.

Councilman uuby reported on the petition signed by some 200 ppople to widen the Olympic .Highway from
Harrison Street to Kearney Street. He said the Chamber of Commerce .had endorsed the Detition and sent it

to the district's state representatives in Olympia. He said the Grange and port commission
they would also endorse the petition and asked that the city consider makeNan endorsement to the state
of Washington for the widening of this section of the highway from Harrison to 15earney Street. After
discussion, Councilman Ruby made a motion that the city endorse this petition, seconded by Councilman

dissenting vote.
Siebenbaum made a motion to appoint Joe Steve to fill the vacancy on the Council. Councilman
