This letter is a request for :a license to operates taxi service in the city of Fort Townse
for the year 1966..Enclosed is a check for s:100.00 for this license. If accepted would
appreciate any help .by the council in obtaining a.stand at the Delmonico hotel at B34 '.'.'star
St. I have talked :with Mr.. Frank Symondsaboutthis sub,;ject and he is desirous of having

a good taxi service at this location.
I know this is the -bus loading zone, but for the two trips they make daily Iwould make th
space available to them.

Councilman Siebenbaum mode a motion seconded by Councilman Judy that the taxie license be
granted. motion carried..
Councilmen Carter brought up the subject whether or not it would be legal to have a taxie
stand in a loading zone that had already been allocated to the bus company.. Attorney AbrahE

said that granting a taxis license made it automatic for a taxi stand. Mr Horton said that
he had tallcad to i,lr Symonds and he was in favor of having the stand in front of his place o
business.. Councilman :aebenbnl.tm suggestod to Mr Horton to have a tnik with Wr Lafferty to
see if arrangements could be mode to use the bus loading zone. Councilman Carter made
motion seconded by Councilman Judy that 1,Ir Horton be allowed to use the hotel loading zone
