the balance, probably ; 000. to Q3,300. in three years, 1967, 1968, and 1969.

PARKING THEREIN, PROVIDING FOR i,lARKING THEREOF
AND PROHIBITING PAINTING OF CURBS OF CITY STREETS
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HER21:1, AND PRESCRIKING
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION.
Councilman Siobenbaun said thut passing a loading zone ordinance at this time was ill
timed due to the fact that we are in the process of rutting on n B & 0 Tax. Councilman Judy
snid that there were five loading zones in the city and at the time when name of these load 9
zones "ore requosted the poople "he requested Qcm said they would be willing to pay for a
loading zone. Councilman Hoglund mentioned that if a business man required a certain socti;.

payer to co:nponsate for the loss of revenue that the city would derive from the loss of the
meter. Councilman Hoglund made a motion seconded by Counilmon Judy that tic first reading

Counciman Niebonbaum reported that n meeting had boon hold at the fire hall In rogards

to the state and the committee felt that it should be investigated on what basis the state

Mr 'Ilan Dodr;o, third district command r of the Amorienn Lollon spoke before the ;Sayer and
council to enlist cite officials in Operation Show Your Colors, a legion initiated program
aimed at showing support of Americans serving the cause of freedom. He presented Councilmen '

The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Slashington met in regular session this 7t'n
day of December 1965 at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers of the City Hall. Mayor Sullivan
presiding.

'Lao undersignod represents the Tri-Area Business Club., which includes what is commonly know
and referred .to as the communities of Hadlock, Irondele and Chimncum.
It is needless to point out to you gontlomen the growth that has come about in this vicinit
during the past decade adding to the financial wealth of Jefferson County and a community
of interest with the City of Port Townsend, and its affairs.
I feel confident that future growth could very readily be phonominal wore an unlimited sung
of domestic crater mudo available. In this connection our clubhasbeck in,contact•-with the
Commissionois of Public Utility District No. 1, who have evidenced a genuine concern in our
problem but, for reasons that appear considered, do not desire to a'Troach the City with th
ultimate in view of taking over the Radlock-Irondele leg of the Port Townsend '.'later system
and its daily gallonage.
In view of the mutuality of objective that pertains to both urban and sub -urban Jefferson
County, this letter in addressed to your body with the hope that increased domestic Crater
;nay be made available to us, and without disturbing, the present and existing contract with
the Crown Zellorbach Corporation.
