It was roved b• Councilman Siebonbaum seconded by Councilman Judy that the amrionded bid
of Bass Const. Co. Be accepted. Motion carried. It was moved by Councilman Siebonbaum y;
seconded by Councilman Hoglund that the bid bonds of the unsuccomful bidders be returned
motion carried.
'ilator Supt. Arey aslcod the councils approval to soil 12 new tans in the Hadlock-Irondalo
and Chevy Chase area. He said that due to the now linos that had boon installed the ,later
was available for that many taps. It visa moved by Councilman Judy seconded by Councilman
Thomas that the water department install the now taps as roqurstod. ;:lotion carried.
Councilman Siebonbaum again brought up that not taps mould be lot except from the top of the
visiting list and none tat unless a building had boon started.

Sheridan Stro.it and 19th Stroot under contract with the City of Port Townsedd.

Item "To, 10 - Asphalt M.C. 250 for prime coat to be increased from 17 tons to 45 tons at
trio same unit bid price of :'BO.00 per ton.
Item llo. 11 - Prime cost aggregate to be increased from 180 cu. yd. to 300 cu. yd. at
the Sarno unit bid price of .`,6.50 per cu. yd.
Itom no. 12 - Asphalt Concrete Class F to be deleted in its entirety and no compensation
will be mode for this item.
This work to be performed under unit bid item prices on this contract and no furthor

the Lease Agrocnrent dated July 26, 1065 between L.11. Curtis L Sons and 'lie City of Port
Townsend to tho First American national Bank of the City of Port Townsend 'ilasn ngton.

Ron Mayor, representing the consulting engineerin- firm of Carey & Kramer, presented rec-
ommendations concerning the city7s proposed sewer improvement project which includes a
treatment plant, interceptor sewers and new lateral lines. Councilman linglund recommended
a site near ?art .lorden and rocemmonded that negotiations should start to acquire the
property. I's. Mayor offered a proposal calling for iris firm to make up specifications and
call for bids on the project, make applicat on to the federal government for loans and grant:
and supervise actual contstruction. City Attorney Abraham recommended that the proposal be
taken under advisement by the council until it next regular session to allow the city to stuff
the proposal in greater dotal before acceptance. A special meeting visa called for by Council,
Lindsey .'or 8 p.m Tuesday the 24th of August.
ADJOURNMENT ,
As there was no further business to come before the council at this time it eras moved by
Cc mcilman Carter seconded by Councilman Siobenbaum that the meeting do now adjourn. Motion
carried.
