Councilman Siebenbaum said that werwore very happy to have someone to come dorm and offer the city a project that has long been needed. No said that he had talked with the other councilmen and all were in favor in vacating the streets that were needed, but there hanpone to be an ordinance stating a public hearing had to be held. City Attorney said that the; company was aware of the hearing. After some discussion it was moved by Councilman Lindsey seconded by Councilman Carter that a public hearing be hold on the 2nd day of February 1964. ?lotion carried. REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS DISPENSED It was moved by Councilman Thomas seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the regular order of business be dispensed with and that the bids for fuel for the City be opened at this tire. Very truly ,yours II. J. Carroll. Mayor Sullivan referred the request to the Water Committee. The City Clerk read a report of the Port Townsend Fire Department for the Year 1964. In the letter it stated there were a total of 83 calls and an estimated loss of 16,250.00E ® From H. J. City Attorney Abraham informed the Mayor & Council that if they contacted Mr Carroll they might tell him that he would have to put in a different type of form of petition and that he would be glad to tell Lir. Carroll what type. Councilman Lindsey asked the City Attorney If action should be taken for a public hearing. Attorney Abraham said that a hearing could be set but the proper petition had to be in before the hearing. City Attorney Abraham informed the Mayor & Councilman that the petition was in proper form and that a hearing should be set. The question was brought up if the request of H. J. Carroils could be heard at the same time, the City Attorney said that if Mr. C-rroll submitted the petition in proper form that it could.
