involved and indicated that the development company would like to gat started on the project
in the vary near future.
Councilman Siebenbaum said that werwore very happy to have someone to come dorm and offer
the city a project that has long been needed. No said that he had talked with the other
councilmen and all were in favor in vacating the streets that were needed, but there hanpone
to be an ordinance stating a public hearing had to be held. City Attorney said that the;
company was aware of the hearing. After some discussion it was moved by Councilman Lindsey
seconded by Councilman Carter that a public hearing be hold on the 2nd day of February 1964.

Officers and members present were as follows: Mayor Sullivan, Ctty Attorney Abraham, Ci
Clerk Youngblood, Councilmen, Thomas, Hoglund, Judy, Ruby, Siebenbaum, Lindsey & Carter.

The minutes of the previous session were rend in full and it was moved by Councilman
Hoglund seconded by Councilman Lindsey that the minutes be approved as read and that the
Mayor & City Cl..rk sign same. ',Iot-ion carried.
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS DISPENSED
It was moved by Councilman Thomas seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the regular
order of business be dispensed with and that the bids for fuel for the City be opened at
this tire. Motion carried.

Mayor Sullivan referred the request to the Water Committee.
The City Clerk read a report of the Port Townsend Fire Department for the Year 1964. In
the letter it stated there were a total of 83 calls and an estimated loss of 16,250.00E

request the vacation of 12th Street between Hill Street and 1001 east of Kuhn Street. I
also request the vacation of the alleys located in the following blocks north of Sims Way.

Idayor Sullivan referred the communication to the Street Department Committee.
City Attorney Abraham informed the Mayor & Council that if they contacted Mr Carroll they
might tell him that he would have to put in a different type of form of petition and that
he would be glad to tell Lir. Carroll what type. Councilman Lindsey asked the City Attorney
If action should be taken for a public hearing. Attorney Abraham said that a hearing could
be set but the proper petition had to be in before the hearing.
PETITION FOR STREET VACATION
The Undersigned owners of all properties abutting upon those portions of streets hereinaf
requested to be vacated here and hereby petition the City Council of the City of Port Town-
send to vacated the portions of streets described as follows:
Kearney Street from 19as:.ington.Street to Water Street.

Mayor Sullivan referred the petition to the Street Committee. City Attorney Abraham
informed the Mayor & Councilman that the petition was in proper form and that a hearing
should be set. The question was brought up if the request of H. J. Carroils could be heard
at the same time, the City Attorney said that if Mr. C-rroll submitted the petition in
proper form that it could. It vras moved by Councilman Judy seconded by Councilman Ruby the
a public hearing be set for March 2, 1965. Motion carried.
