Notion carried. BUILDING PER' ITS The following building permits were presented add acted upon as follows: Robert Sahli, :,,use, 251X451, Frame Cherry & T. Block 59 Lots 5& 6, $9,000.00 Frank Symonds, Remodel, 933 `filer, w3,500.00. It was moved by Councilman Lindsey seconded by Councilman Hoglund that the building permit be granted. :Lotion carried. Motion carried. t CALL FOR BIDS The City C1 rk asked normissi�n of the City Council to call for bids on the citys needs of Ethyle and Regular Gsoline, Furnace Oil , Stove Oil and Diesel fuel for the year 1965. Bids to be opened January 19, 1965. The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, In regular session assembled, do hereby resolve: That the mayor of said 6ity be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute, in behalf of the City, and agreement for Public Works Plan Preparation with the Housing and Home Finance Agency Community Facilities Adminisatration, pursuant to Public Law 560 of the 83rd Congress of the United States of America, and thereby to accept an advance in the sum of ;4,700.00 from said idou.sing and Home Finance Agency for preliminary planning of a sewage disposal system and treatment facility. Councilman Judy said that he had again checked the area by Idarcus Cullers where a street light had been requested and felt that s street light visa needed there but recommended that it be held off until the first of the year. Councilman Lindsey said that he had been going to the planning commission meetings for the past year and felt another councilman should take his place and:attend-thW meetings:-.c of the planning commission. Councilmen Hoglund informed the Maya• & Council that he would take Councilmans Linseys place. i The City Clerk asked the Council on whether or not he was to issue licenses for card tables and punch boards the first of the year. He was informed not to issue thoes type licenses the first of the year. Max Platner spoke before the i.Iayor & Council, saying thut due to closing of certain establishments and new laws that wene in effect that his business of coin operated machines had fallen off to the extent the' he was unable to afford the 1,000.00 license fee that he e was paying to the Bity. lie said that the Co}nty had cut his licenses down to 500.00 and felt the City should do the same. After some discussion it was moved by Councilman Thomas seconded by Councilman Carter that the Master License of Max Plattners be dropped to $500.0 Motion Carried. Mayor Sullivan introduced Its Bob Bennett the new humane officer who had been appointed to ; take over the duties of bar Worley.
