Since the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce represents those who would be most vitally
affected by such a tax it was voted that a letter be written to the City Council of the
City of Port Townsend notifying; it that the Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce would
vigorously oppose the enactment of any such ordinance without having first had an opportunit
to study and consider any proposed ordinance along the lines suggested.
Therefore, we will appreciate being advised when and if any such matter is being considered.
We know the Council will extend this courtesy to us. We therefore thank you in advance for
your consideration.
Very Truly yours,
Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce
A. Clemens Grady
