Councilman Lindsedy said that the street and sower committee would have a report at the

next rogulnr session onE the disposal of carbodion.

Councilmen Hoglund reported that the police &license committee had met with Mr Plattner

to discuss the lowering of his .license foes. He said that it was the opinion of the committe

that the fees should be lowered, at the prostent tire he was paying, a 11,000. muster fee plu
approximately another ,t,600. He said that Mr Plattner was paying the same tax now that he did
ten years ago and that his bulinoss had dropped almost half. After soma discussion it was
movod by Councilman Hoglund seconded by Councilman Stove that the Ordinancebe :codified XXKt

Mayor Sullivan asked the council for a motion to have the next regular council mooting on
the 22nd of January, It was moved by Councilman Steve seconded by Councilman Siebonbaum that
the next regular :pouting of the City Council be on the 22nd of Jan. Yotion carried.
Councilman Rust said that he has boon having complaints on the selling of cigarettes to
minors and of cigarette vending machines being accessible to juveniles. City Attorney
Abraham said that alt-ough the city had an ardinanc: concerning the matter it was difficult
to enforce and about the only way it could be handledisthrough a citzens complaint in
an

justice court. After name further discussion Mayor Sullivan referred thn matter to the
police and License committee for a report at the next regular session.
Chief of Polito Phogloy spoke before the Council telling than of his plan to form an

Auxiliary Police Force of ❑pproximotoly ten members to aid the city police during times when

man are noeded. He said that four policemen could easily handle the regular duties. He also

stated that he was moving the ]:elite office from the city hall to the Piro hall ::'Hero better

communications would be had. Mayor Sullivan said that there would be a civil service exam

next month for the fourth policeman.

said that the trees wore first taken out because of two storms and once they were cleared
