OF ORDINANCE Nn. 1421 Ordinance 4o. 1421 duly recorded in the minutes of the last regular session. RS@ZZg82RZBY.d9g and do to the nature of the Ordinance had to be held over until this regular session. It was moved by Councilman Hiebenbaum seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the first reading be considered the second reading and the third reading be by title only. Motion Carried. Ordinance No. 1421 was again read by title only and it was moved by Couni' 3lebenbnon seconded b; Councilman Lafferty that Ord. No. 1421 do now pass. Motion carried. After some further discussion it was felt that tl:ere should be another tent on the well. Mayor Green Asked the City Fngineer to take care of the matter. Chun 'lran Lafferty asked if there could be more water taps added to the new Chimacum water'llne, Supt. Arey said that since the new line has been put in that there is enough water being saved from leakage that he felt that there could he ten new taps added. Surt. Arey said that there were at least thr4o,wplls out in the rhimacum area nod the peonlp that had the wells also had city water, saying that the City was getting no revenue what sr ever nrd felt that there should be at least a 1.50 minimum charge put on. Mayor Green referrei the request to the Water Committtee for a report At the next regular Session. Ccuncilman Sullivan asked the Water Supt. on the amount of Hydrants in the immediate area, He was informed that there weree two hydrands in Hillock, three at Chimacum and two in the Navy Housing area. Councilman Lafferty felt that there should be a 25.00 charge for each hydrant for rental. After some discussion, Councilman Lafferty made a notion seconded by Councilman Mueller that a charge of 160.00 a year be paid by the Jefferson. Cnunty Fire District No. 1 for Hydrant renbhl. Motion carried. Councilman M.veller made a motion seconded by Councilman Lindsey that upon the recnomendatinn of Supt. Arey that ten more tars he added nn toe Chimacum water line.
