NEW & OLD BUSINESS
Councilman Steve said that lie had a call from the parking miter salesman that a city in
Michigan had some three hundred meters of the same type that was shown by the salesman, and
:all were reconditioned and could be had for f25.00 each.
Councilman Steve .eported that he ,lad made a trip to Olympia and was told by the Secretar•
of State that the City of Port Townsend should be and should have been rediiistricted as of
this election, and had hinted that they had been very patient with the City in the matter,
Meyer Green said that the committee that was to meet and discuss tid:h the City Attorney
plans for a plannin commission ordinance had not done so due to no much other business on
the docket but should be able to meet in the next week or so.
Ilia or Green asked the City Attorney advise on the letter from the County Auditor. City
Attorney Abraham said that it was needed to pass an ordinance for the excution of the lease
and just so happened to have an ordinance to tiLat affect.
Il:ayor Green asked if there were any questioljs concerning the lease, mr. A. R. Thompson
drew a diagram and pointed out what he considered to be an error in the description of the
property in a notice published in tle Leader by the county. City Attorney Abraham noted that
the leeal advertise:tent eras not placed by the city vrihich therefore no action could be taken.
George Simpokes stated that if the lease agreement put the usage of the dump on a yearly
basis, he felt that most of the residents in that area would be more inclined to accept it.
After consid cable discussion on the proposed garbage dump Ordinance No. 1416 vies present d

Councilman (dueller made a notion seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the first reading
of Ordinance No. 1426 be considered the second reading and the third reading be by title
only. (Lotion carried.
THIRD READING & PASSAGE OF ORD. NO. 2416
Ordinance No. 1416 was read for the third time by title only and it was moved by Councilor
Steve seconded by Councilman Sullivan that Ordinance No. 2416 do now pass. ]lotion carried.
Councilman Siebenbaum said that on the passage of Ord. No. 1416 it would require money to
be transferred from the garbage dept fund into a garbage dump maintenance fund and that it
would reeu'_re anX ordinance. Councilman Siebenbaum made a motion seconded by Councilman
Lindsey that the City Attorrsy draw up an ordinance transferring a5,000.00 from the General
Garba e fund to Garbage Dump Maintenance fund. Lotion carried.

City Limigs of Port Townsend . ;fiayor Green said tr.at she w ould 1111.•e to meet with the water
committee upon the reauest of the Tri-City for more water in that area.

Councilman Steve seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the meeting do now adjourn. Motion
carried.
