the city Engineer inspect the roof and draw up the necessary specification for bids and the
bids to be opened September 5, 1961.
Councilman Siebenbaum reported that the request for tiro lease of the Port Townsend Course
to the elks Club was still being studied and would have a report at the next regular session
Councilman Sicbenbsum also reported on the request of the fort Commission for the City to
take over the water system lying within the Point Hudson reservation, saying that tiro commit,
was of agreement not to take over the water system, saying that the navy lad put in the 1 ine
and that the port read one lare meter and it should be up to them to collect the money from
residents Sn the area. Councilman Siebenbaun reported on the request of it . Murrys on taking
the meter from his residence, sn-ring that he was against taking it out bit would abide by
the will of the council, after considerable discussion, it was the oninior of the council to
leave the meter in but put the residence on a flit rate and to char;
the r•egulpr rate for sprinkling for each lot during the summer months.

Mayor .^=reen said that due to the nature of the above ordinance it would have to lay over
until the next regular session.
Councilman Sullivan brought up that the parking area in front of the Liquor Store freight
entrance should be kept open on certain days, lla,ror 3reen said that she mould look into the
matter. Councilman Sullivan also mentioned that the Kiwanis Pals r boxes bround the city were
running over and w•::s eginning to get quite messy and felt that if the I' vanis Club were no,
going to keep them Shp it should be turned over to someone who would keep tnem emptied.

Dear Council Members:
On behalf of the County Fair Board, I wish to thank you for v u r cooperation and help in
putting on a very successful fair. The City Police helped protect the grounds. Tiro Fire
Depertment helped burn the weeds on the grounds, answered two small fire calls, rn d furnish
ad a stan-by truck during the running of some of the events. The Street Departm3nt crew
erected the stands for us and helped lay the senior pipe and water the track. ine Sanitation
derartment took tine gprbage for us and the hater Department furnished water for the fair
buildings and watering the track. The work of eac', of thyse departments is very much apprec
fated.
