From Keith Shannon to -wit: January 9, 1961 Honorable Mayor & City Council ' City Hall Port Townsend, Washington Re: Loading Zone Gentlemen: I note that recently a loading zone has been granted to a business diagonally across the street from my place of business at the corner of Water and Taylor, and this gave me cause to hope that perhaps the City's policy with regard to granting loading zones has been changed. I therefore request that consideration be given to my desire to have a loading zone established adjacent to my Florist Shop. As you know, I am required to make deliveries frequently in the course of my business, and I feel that the lack of alleys and the fact that loading zones are now being granted should lead to favorable consideration o$ my request for such a zone. I will be most happy to meet with any commitee or person representing the City with regard to discussing this matter, and I hope that it can be worked out in the near future. Sincerely, Keith P. Shannon Mayor Green referred to the above communication the the Police & license committee for a report at the next regular session. From Merle C.
