Gentlemen:

•:Is would like your nut.iorization to replace a small section of cement in front of the. J.C.
Penney store with a new block containing the hand prints, name and date of the current

Altho-gh this would onvolve no.expense on the part of the City, but would he handled through

We feel this would not only be a thrill for the reigning queen, to see her name and hand
prints embedded for prosperity, but it would also be a ,great touris attraction.

Gentlemen:
This will confirm a recent survey :fade of the City water system in the company of Ideyor
Leighton, Z:'ater Superintendent Lyall Aroy, and members of the County Health Department.
In general, the operation and control of the water system was found to be excellent. Persons
responsible for the planning of the venter system ore to commended for their foresight in
looking ahead and anticipating the water needs of the City and the major industry in your
area. Specific reference is being made to the Lords Lake project and the present project
underway replacing the old transmission line.
The following ere items that rewire some nttention to maintain a snfe and notable }rater sup
1. Provide a new chlorinator to eliminate the conti ual mnintennnee problems that presently
exists. It has been brought.to my attention that a solution food -type chlorinator would
substantially reduce the mointenance requirements over n direct Teo-t ,pa chlorination for
--
your specific installation.
2. Trent Lards.Lnke wi th copper sulfate to kill Signs that are responsible for taste and odo
in the water. This need only be done if substantial -uantities of water are used from thi
source. (See attached paper)
3. Remove logs end debris present in Lords Lake that may provide food for algae if allowed
to remain and decompose.
'..e wish to express our e,,preciation for the cooperation received during this survey from
