C OTA'AUNIC A TI ONS July 21, 1959 From Public Utility District No 1 to -wit: Honorable Mayor and City Council City of Port Townsend Port Townsend Washington Gentlemen: For some months lest past, sundry persons living in that area of Jefferson County east of Hadlock and West of the Nordland bridge, commonly (mown and described as the Green Snot, have been continuhlly importuning this Commission for a domestic supply of water. We have b:en in communication with the Navy Department for some time, and the lest advice indicated that the United States cannot permit dispersal of water to the area indicated without consent of the City Council of the City of Port Townsend. Intere ted as this Commission is in the entire development of Jefferson County and recongnizing that the Navy Department has abondoned its housing project at or near Hadlock, why cannot this public body enter into some contract with the City in order to provide water for what appears to us to be permanent residents of our community? The contents of this commuhication have been authorized by unanimous vote of the commission at its last meeting on June 22, 1959' Respectfully, Public Utility District No. i Linda L. Anderson, Clerk and ;Auditor
