1-Executives: .Any city officer whose salary is set by the City Council, the head of all r
City departments, and city supervisory personnel who are responsible for the hiring or
terminating the employment of other city employees:
2-Administrative and professional personnel: City Administrative Officers, technical advis rs,
ssniterians and consultants.
Section 9. No employee shall work hours in excess of his regular work week, as specified
.j, by section 3 hereof, without the prior approval of his office head: and any employee who
shell work without such prior approval shall not be deemed to be employed by the city of I
port townsond, and such services shall be deemed to be a more gratuity.
Section 10. lIo MN office or department head shall authorize any employee to work any

work, and nothing in this resolution shall authorize any office or department to exceed andy

Section 11. For the purpose of computing each employees state retirement contribution,

Councilman Lafferty informed the Council that Mr Cnrroll was willing to extend the 9th at.
road to the existing highwny. Councilman Sullivan said that Mr. Arey informed him that the
state would not allow the street to enter on the highway at the pp point. After some discussio
Mayor Leighton turned the matter over to the Street Co mittee tb find out from the state
whether or not the road could enter at the desired point.
Fire Chief Jones asked the Mayor k Council if the firemens vacation money could be roconsi

as Loney was not nut in the budget this ;,roar. Mayor Leighton informed Chief Jones that it
would be considered in next years budget.
