Water Department at the present time was using the building for storage of material and that
the committee felt after the investigation that the city should continua to hold on to the
property.
RESOLUTION NO 59-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF THE SUM OF $900.00 FROM LIBRARIANS
SALARY TO EMERGENCY AND VACATION HELP IN THE PUBLIC LIBRARY
FU14D OF SAID CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO DRAW
--- WARRANTS THEREON.
BE IT RESOLVED that the sum of $900.00 is here and hereby trnnsfered from
the Librarian Salary appropriation to the Emergency and vacation Help Appropriation
in the 1959 Budget of the City, and the City Clark is authorized and directed to
draw Warrants of the City pursuant hereto.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL, AT A regular meeting of the City Council on May 19, 195
and approved and signed by the Mayor on the same dzte.

ORDINANCE NO 1362
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF THE
SUM OF $161.58 FOR THE PAYMENT OF PREMIUM ON COMPREHENSI1aE LIBILITY
INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR THE CITY FROM THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY CLERK TO DRAW WARRANTS THEREON AND DECLARING Yc EMERGENCY.
The above Oldled Ordinance was read in full and due to its nature had to be held over
until the next regular session of the Council.
CALL FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Port Townsend, Washington, will receive sealed
proposals up to 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 2, 1959, at the office of the City Clerk, Port
Townsend, Washington, to be opened and read at the regular session of the City Council to
be held upon that date for furnishing and delivering, at trench site At the point of
installation, the followin material:
10,000 lineal feet of 30 I.D. X }" Electric Welded Steel Pipe, coal tar coated and
asbestos -wrapped, together with the necessary couplings. The pipe shall be fabricated in
lengths of 40 feet and shall be furnished with a flosible coupling for each length and sh
conform with the adopted specifications.
Each bid shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications and other documents now
on file in the office of the City Clerk at Port Townsend, Washington, where copies may be
obtained by depositing the s,+m of five dollars for each set. Deposit will be refunded upo
the return of the plans and specifications in good'condition.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cash, cashiers chock or bid bond made
payable to the order of the City Treasurer of Port Townsend in the sum of 5% of the amoun
bid; to be forfeited to the City of Port Townsend by the successful bidder in case he fai
to enter into contract, file an necepbable surety bond in the sum of 100% of the contract
price, to fill conditions of said contract within 10 days of the date of the award. The
City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive all informalities in the bidd
