The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington met in regular session this 5th
day of May 1959, at 7:30 PM in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Leighton presi-
ding.
ROLL CALL
Officers and members present were as follows: Mayor Leighton, City Attorney Abraham, City
Clerk Youngblood, Councilmen Sullivan, Mueller, Lafferty, Avery, Siebenbsum, Swinhoe. Counc-
ilman Lindsey absent.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS SESSION
The minutes of the previous session were read in full find it was moved by Council Mueller
seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the minutes be approved as read and that the Mayor and

City Clerk be authorized to sign same. Upon roll call vote all six councilmen present voted
in the affirmitive and motion declared carried.

Approved bills as audited by the Finance Committee for the Month of April 1959 were

It was moved by Councilwoman Avery, seconded by Bouncilman Sullivan that the bills be
approved as read and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the
proper funds for payment of same. Upon roll call vote all six councilmen present voted in
the affirmitive and motion declared carried.

Communication from Keith Shannon of the Shannon's Florists asking for a loading Zone
in the area on Taylor St. Request was refferred to the Street Committee.

Communication From Edward Hanson Co -Chairman of the Roododendron Festival Committee ask
Fpermission
to use and occupy the area of Van Buren, Polk, Harrison, and Fillmore Streets
lying between Water St and ort Townsend bay on Sunday, May 24, to operate a concession
stand with conjunction with water sports show. The Communication was refferred to the Str
