reported
Councilman Lindsey on the request for a street light submitted by Lars. J. H. Cameron at Oak'
and Tnft. St. He said there would be no extra cost to the city for installing the light and
the committee agreed that there should be a street light installed. Councilman Lindsey made
a motion that a street light be installed at Oak and Taft. St. seconded by Councilman Swinhca
Upon roll call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmitive and motion carried.
Councilman L:ueller brought up the subject of building roads in outlying districts where ther
would be only one house. He said building these rodds were expensive to the city sometimes
Lis high as $5000.00 and beleived something should be done about it. Street Superintendent
Arey said that the City Council had approved the new road on which had dust been completed
and in the future would like to have the Council approve all action of new road building.
Councilman Swrinhoe said that right at the present time Mr. Arey had about 65 miles of street
to take care of in which he was doing a remarkable job of doing with the old equipment and
the few men he had to maintain the streets with. Iie suggested that if the people paid out
the expense of getting water into th-Arhouse then why couldnt they stand the expense of builds
ag
the road. tie sild this certainly should be looked into.
j
City Abraham said that all owners of abutting property to a street being put in should share
the cost but as far as he knew: that this had never been enforced.
Councilman Avery aatced about the trailer situation at the park she said that their were two
trailers there and that one wns building an addition on. She thoutht that under the new
-
ordinance that there were supposed to be no trailers at the park.
City Attorney Abraham said at the present time there could be nothing done about it for in
the 1956 budget there was an item calling for trailer rentals but none in the 1959 budget
so it was best to wait until 1959 then then could be a notice put out to the effect that
it was no longer a permanent trailer court.

ADJOURN.' -:ENT
As there was no further business to come before the Council at this time, it was moved by
Councilman Lindsey and seconded by Councilman Swinhoe that the meeting adjourn. Upon roll ca
vote all five councilmen present voted tin the affirmitive and motion carried.
