County of Jefferson, State of Washington, be hereby is vacated.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take affect immediately upon its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Read for the first-time at a regular session of the council on July lot
1958.
It was moved by Councilman Sullivan that hte first reading be considered the second
reading and that the third reading be by title only. Seconded by Councilman Mueller.
Upon roll call vote all aQxen councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carries

Ordinance #1343 was read for the third time by title only, and it was moved by Councilman
9iebenbaum e.nd seconded by Councilman Avery that Ordinance No1343 do now pass. Upon roll
call all seven councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carried.

Councilman Mueller under unfinished business in the regards to trailers which had came up
to the council several times in the past moved that the City Attorney be instructed to dra,
up an ordnance regulating placement of trailers in the City of Port Townsend and that a
nominal registration fee or lisence fee be charged against trailer narks as a regulatory
measure. After a considerable lengthjr discussion upon the trailer situation by the
City Attorney, ISayor and Councilman the mayor called for a second to the motion w:herepon
Councilman Avery seconded the motion. Upon roll call all seven councilmen present voted in
the affirmative and motion carried.
At this time City Engineer "lilder informed the mayor that he had checked over all the bids
and that Del Guzzi Construction Co from Port Angeles was low, and that the bid was well
under the estimate and suggested that the contract be lot to Del Guzzie of Port Angeles.
Councilman Siebenbaum moved that Del Guzzie bid be accepted and that the bid bonds and
certified checks of the unauccssful bidders be returned. Seconded by Councilman Sullivan.
Upon roll call all seven councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carried.
Councilman Lindsey informed the mayor that the contract on the Power & light for the next
10 years was on hand and made a motion to accept the contract. Seconded by Councilman
Sullivan. *mayor Leighton told the council that the contract was u104.00 a year less for the
street lights for the next ten years. Upon roll call vote all seven councilmen present
voted in the affirmative and motion carried.
Councilman Siebenbaum said he wrould like to givs a short report on a trip that Lyle Arey
and he took representing the city of Port Townsend with twenty one others up to the big
.uilcene water shed sponsered by the forest service. Councelmen Seibenbaum said the forest
service was doing a fine job with the coperation of buck Mountain logging Co. and that
with the reforestation w:e were getting more water noa than in previous years.
ADJOURNMENT
As there •r:as no further business to come before the Council at this time, it was moved by
Councilman Sullivan and seconded by Councilman Lindsey that the meeting adjourn. Upon roll
call vote all Y.alkNeouncilmen present voted in the affirmative, illotion Carried.

The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session this
Mayor
15th day of July, 1958, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council chambers of the City Hall,
Marilou Leighton presiding.
ROLL CALL
Officers and members present were as follows: Mayor Leighton, City Clerk Youngblood,
City Attorney Abraham, Councilmen Swinhoe, Lindsey, Lafferty, Siebenbaum, Mueller, Sullivan,
Councilman Avery absent.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS SESSION
The minutes of the previous session were read in full and it was moved by Councilman
Mueller and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the minutes be approved as read and that

the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign same. Upon roll call vote all six Councilmen
present voted in the affirmative and motion carried.
REPORT OF OFFICERS
The Chief of Police report for the month of June was read and was orderd filed.
BUILDING PERMITS
The following building permits were presented and read:
Del. Guzzi Const. Inc. to erect a one-story building, 501 X 701, Cement Block. 842 Wash. St.
$15,574.00.
Mrs Alfred L. Hansen. Erect House , 1150 Sq. Ft. Frame. 19th & Sheriaian. $15,000.
Joseph Buchello. Erect Car Port. Frame. 221 X 201. 14th & Wilson. $500.00.
John Woodworth: Erect Car Port. Concrete &. Frame. 141 X 240. 405 Lawrence. $200.00.

It was moved by Councilman Sullivan and seconded by Councilman Lafferty that the building
permits be granted. Uoon roll call vote all six Councilmen present voted inthe affirmative
and motion carried.

We, the undersigned property owners of Portage Bay Park, respectfully ask that the City
of Port Townsend furnish us with water for domestic use. At the present time we do not
any supply for domestic water and must haul all of the water that we use for cooking and

other domestics purposes, some distance. Any reasonable restrictions upon the use of the
water and any reasonable charges for the same, will be accepted by us. We are also willi

to do all necessary work to secure this water upon our premises, and also stand all the

expense of pipe and other items.

ORDINANCE NO. 1344
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, REGULATING THE LOCATION AND
OCCUPANCY OF MOBILE H'MES, ESTABLISHING
LICENSES FOR MOBILE HOME PARKS AND PROVIDING
FOR LICENSE FEES THEREEFOR.
WHEREAS the unregulated and unrestricted occupancy of mobile homes in the City of Port

Townsend is deemed incompatible with the health, safety and welfare of the Citizens thereof,
and in some instances causes a depreciation of land values of the surrounding areas adjacent
to such mobile homes, and
WHEREAS the establishment of licensed mobile trailer parks will result in the protection
of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of said City, now therefore,
