The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session this
Lelghto:
1st day of July, 1958, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council chambers of the City Hall, Mayor
presiding.
ROLL CALL
Officers and members present were as follows: Mayor'Lelghton, City Clerk Youngblood, City
Attorney Abraham, Councllmen Mueller, Avery, Swinhoe, Lafferty, Lindsey and counclman
Siebenbsum.
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS SES3ION
The minutes of the previous session were read in full.a Councilman Mueller informed the
Mayour and City Council that Ordnance #1342 pertaning to the emergencycordnance on insuranc
of the amount of $253.72 should have been read the thind reading by title only and that if
the city clerk would make that change, moved that the minutes be approved as read and that
the mayor and city clerk be authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by counclman Sullivan.
Upon roll call all seven councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carried.
POSTPONEMENT OF REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS

Councilman Siebenbau:d informed the mayor and council that due to the fact that thier were
a number of bids in on the pipe contract, made a motion that the regular order of
quite
business be dispensed with at this time and that the bids be opened and read, seconded by
councilman Mueller. Upon roll call all seven councilmen present voted in the affirmative
and motion carried.
OPENING OF BIDS
IOpening
and reading of bids were as follows:

City Engineer Wilder) in his tabulations of the bids said that the three low bids were
as follows: J. P. Hvinsland, J. D. Dutton, and Del Guzzi Construction Co. and asked the
City Clerk to read the item and unit price of the three low bidders upon which the City Cle
Complied. City Engineer Milder took the three low bids and retired from the Council room
for further tabulations.
REGULAR ORDER OF BUSINESS RESUMED
At this time Mayor Leighton ordered that the regular order of business be resumed.

It was moved by Councilman Avery and seconded by Councilman Lindsey that the bills be
approved as read and that the mayor and City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the
proper Sunda for payment of same. Upon roll call vote all seven Councilmen present voted
in the affirmative and motion carried.
