Councilman Steve reported that he had met with the Street Superintendent YX. Arey in
egrards to the romoval of Bullcorod dirt that had been placed on a City Street in the
'orth Beach Area., and that two men lied been sent out to clear the Street. He reccommended
hat the City Engineer survey the area to probe the possibility of City Action against the
ornetrator Mr. Elbert Folme. Mayor Banr;artcr reffrred the matter to the City Engineer and

Councilman. Steve reported on i.:rs. i:ingaburytrequest for additional }yarning and' Stop
i.gns and rocconamended that a stop sign be placed at the intersection of Blaine & Walker
treet's and that the Grant Street School Caution Sign'on 19th Street on the Arcadia Inn

Ill see the sign in sufficient time to slow down. He also reported that there were suf-

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION
The minutes of the previous session were read in full and it was moved -by Councilman
Mueller and seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the minutes be approved as read and that
the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign s-mee Upon roll call vote all six Council-
men present voted in the affirmative and motion carried.

It was moved by Counoil;ian Avery and Secdnded by Councilman Lindsey that the bills be
oved as read and that the -Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the
or funds for payment of same. Upon roll call vote all six Councilmen present voted in
affirmative and motion carried.
REPORT OF OFFICERS
City Clerk
The C y ClM reForted the regular salaries for 'the month of December 1967 as
follows:

City Treasurer
The City Treasurers'report for the month of December 1957 was read and was referred
to the Finance Committee.
BUILDING PERMITS
The following building pax it was presented and read;
William F. Bishop cabin 8x20ft. frame construction, 6th and Hancock Streets. 26.00
It was moved by Councilman Lindsey and seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the
building permit be granted. Upon roll call vote all six Councilmen present voted in the
affirmative and motion carried.
NEW AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Councilman Siebenboum informed the council that the Water Committee, the City
Engineer and City Attorney had a meeting with the P.U.D. in regards to the P.U.D. request
to the City that the City relinquish its water rights on the Dosewallips River.
Councilman Lindsey informed the Council that the City had lots of time to consider
the proposal, he recommended that the City hold on to the City.Water Rights on the
Dosewallips River.
Councilman Mueller stated that as the P.U.D. had no concrete planto offer for develop-
ment of the Dosewallips River he also recommended the City keep their water rights pending
future developments.
Councilman Avery expressed her desire to maintain the water rights on the Dosewallips
River for the City and concurred with Councilman Mueller.
Councilman Siebenbaum then informed the Coumcil that if anyone also was interested
and applied for the water rights on the Dosewallips River that the City was protected as
they had sixty days to take action after notification.
City Street Supt. Mr. Lyall Arey explained to the Council the need of a new chassis
for the City Street dump truck . He reported the money had been budgeted in the City
Street Fund and requested permission for the City Clerk to issue a call for Bids to
furnish the City with a new chassis for the City Street dump truck.
It was moved by Councilman ;Avery and seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the City
Clerk be authorized to issue call for Bids under the specifications as determined by the
Street Supt. Upon roll call vote all six Councilman present votred in the. affirmative,
motion carried.
