Dear Sir:
The proposal sot forth in your letter of November 14,1957, for an easement
over a portion of the property of the Fort iYorden School and a connection on the sewer
line for a proposed sower line for a. portion of.tha City of Port. Tolinsond, has been
reviewed by the Department, along with the sketch which you have provided. I am
advised that the Department id agreeable to the proposal in principal, and if you
would prepare an onsement setting forth the details of your proposal, the Departnent
would consent to reviewing the some for approval by the Director. It should be pointed
out that the land Dent of the roadway runnding along the bluff, facing the Strait of
Juan de Fuca, approximately 8t from the outside edge of the road, belongs to the Port
Commission of Port' Townsend, rather than the state, and it may be necessary to obtain
an easement from `no port Commission, as wall as the state.
:Any easement which you may prepare concerning this matter should include an
agreement on the part of the City of Port Tawrsend to repair and replace any property
which nay be dnrtagod in the course df the installation of the sorter line, as well as
any property which nay be danagod or destroyed by reason of the operation and main-
tenance of said line.

Councilman Sullivan noted the very small amount of money remaining in the Park Fund
ad asked if the Park Board had been notified. The Clerk answered in the affirmative,
City Street Superintendent ?trey reported that I:Ir. Albert Feline had bulldozed dirt
ato ❑ City Street in the North Beach area and that it was blocking the natural drain of
otor for the ,,hole area. After some discussion by the Council Mayor 3:-.ngerter referred the
niter to the Street Superintendent and City Attorney for report at the next meeting.
Councilman Avery proposed that the Council take any action that they could to help
he Police Department out in combatting Juvenile Delincuintcy. City :ttorney informed the
ouncil that lie had a proposed Ordinance by the Chief of Police under study which would
eter be broucht up for Council consideration.

The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, °lashington, mot in regular session,
this 17th day of December, 1957, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Ball,
Mayor George Bangerter presiding.

MINUTES OF THa PREVIOUS SESSION
The minutes of the previous session were read in full and it was moved by Councilman
Sullivan and seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the minutes be approved as read and
' that the Mayor and City Clerk b8-authorized to 'sign same. Upon roll call vote all five
Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carried.

® The Chief of Police- report for the month of NVvember-1957 was read and was ordered
filed.
BUILDING PERMITS
The following building permit was presented and read:

$10,000.00.
It vies moved by Councilman Siebenbaum'-that the building permit be granted. Upon roll
call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the nffirnative and motion carried.

Gentlemen:
The undersigned hereby and herewith requests permission to move six housing
units 28 by 38 feet said units being of freme construction. The property will be
moved from landing point over such streets approved end designated by the Street
Superintendent.
moving will be done by Peninsula House Ltovern,a bonded moving company.
The undersigned will furnish an indemnity bond indemnifing the City of Port Townsend
for any damages in the sum of 4,,5,000.00.
Units will be moved on the following described real estate, to -wit:

The Chief of Police has assured cooperation during moving operations.
The undersigned likewise requests permission to make sorter and water hookups and
connections, and will pay therefore the designated char'gas.
The undersigned further assures the city that he will comply in all respects will
(� Ordinance 907 of the City of Port Townsend.
Accordingly, we request your permission to move the units above identified onto the
real estate described pursuant to the foregoing conditions, and will appreciate the
granting of this request which includes sewer and waterhookup connections.
