City of Port Townsend, Fort Townsend, Washington, Gentlemen: In the event that n vacancy exists or occurs in your building department, T would like -to make application for the position. My qualifications include the ability to organize and operate a building department, and to act as field inspector of building, electrical and plumbing installations, and zoning. •I am employed at present as building officinl of the city of Ojai, and have a background of fifteen years of experience in building, designing, drafting,and construction inspection. 1.Iy inspection experience covers four years with tho Federal Housing Administration two years with the Veterans Administration, and two and one half years wit# the city of Ojai. Prior to the commencement of construction of any building,shed or Structure any addition to an existing building, shed or structure there shall be obtained by the er or agent for the owner of lands on which said construction is contemplated, a bnildi mit. Section 2. The Clerk of Said City is authorized to issue building permits upon the ec on o o City Council, and the Council shall consider and grpnt or reject ench such nit for which application is duly and properly made. Section 3. .Application for building permits shnll be made to the City Clerk, and no lira on s all be considered by the Council unless it shall have been presented in Plicate copies to the Clerk at least two days prior to the regular meeting -of the City ncil at which said application is to be presented. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval and TicssE o—n es pnovided by lnw. Rend for the first time at a regular -session of the Council on September 17, 1957. Read for the second and third times at aregular session of the Council on September 17, 1957. Passed by the Council and approved and signed by the Mayor on September 17, 1957. MAYOR kttost: )roved as to J It was moved by Councilman Mueller and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the first coding be considered the second reading end that the third reading be by title only. Upon oll call vote all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carried. THIRD READING AND PASSAGE Ordinance No. 1337 was read for the third time by title only and it visa moved by Coun- ilman Sullivan and seconded by Councilman Steve that the ordinance do now pass. Upon roll all vote all six Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carried. ADJOURIP..1P•.WT As there was no further business to come before the Council at this time, it was moved y Councilman Steve and seconded by Councilmen Sullivan that the meeting adjourn. Motion arried.
