Port Townsend Wash April 16 1957
To the Major and City Council of Port Townsend,
Due to the fact that the present quarters being used by the Jefferson County
Historical Society are too small to permit the proper accessibility to our historical
documents we wohld like the use of another room in the City Hall building.
We wish to set up an Historical research library so that our materials may be
properly accessible to any one wanting to use it.
Yours truly

products at our present bulk plant location in your city in the near future.
It is our understanding that a permit is required for work of th4s nature
and that the request for permit be submitted by letter. The volume of the new tank
will be 25,000 gallons, gasoline storage, and the value of the material involved will
be approximately t2500.00.
If any additional information is required in order to process this appli-
cation for permit, do not hesitate to contact us.

To the Honorable Mayor
and City Council
City of Port Townsend ,
Port Townsend, Wn.
Gentlemen:
We wish to receive permission from you to create a "NO PARKING" AREA ON THE East side of
Monroe Street between Monroe Street and Front Street.
This area is presently used as a parking place for fisherments cars and boat trailers.
Should they continue to use this area to park, after completion of our present expansion
program of our bulk plant facilities, we would be unable to get to our new warehouse to
receive and ship products or ingress and egress with our gasoline tank truck when its
use is required.
No Parking would in no way hinder the use of the area for:freedom of movement for anyone
to launch boats., It would be a benefit to all, including the fishermen, from having the
area plugged up.
There Is plenty of parking area on Water & Monroe Streets for fishermen's use.
Thanking you for your cooperation.
Very truly yours, .
