The defect which caused my injury wes this condition in the surface of the"4C'1T s idevralk on ::star St. The injuries of which I complain as a result of this accident, were a broken rib, an injured right shoulder, a left knoo injured, a crushed nerve under tha rib, and I cut4I_;,,`, the top off the little finger of my left Land.. In addition to these injuries to me, Is`{i.�`� _L \ broke my glasses and dnmeged my stockings or hose, damaged my gloves and my hat and caused my clothing to be soiled. `4 ` The Lets of negligence of which I complain is the failure of the City to properly '� maintain its sidewalks against those defects described above. This nccidnnt occured In the following manner: While waiting for the ferry and with my our parked nnpr the ferry landing I went shopping for a gift. I purchased the gift and had the package in my arms and vies walking along ',later Street, toward the. ferry Ij landing where my car was parked, when I came upon the condition complained of above, ii without seeing or being aware of it as a defect at that time.
