From Finance Committees City of Port Townsend, Washington, o-w Pacific national Bank Trust Department Seattle, Wash. - Gentlemen: The City Finance Committee and the City Council of the City of Port Townsend approves and does hereby ratify all investments heretofor made and/or to be made by the Trust Department of your bank from the Construction Fund and Reserve account of the Bond redemption Fund under the Port Townsend 1956 Special Water Revenue Bonds, as set up and displayed in the accounts of the City Treasurer of the City of Port Townsend. This approval is intended to cover the re -investment of the Y$400,000.00 United States Treasury Bills.maturing July 19, 1956. This approval appertains to, and specifically covers only the provisions and conditions set forth in Ordinance #1321, passed by the Council of the City of Port Towhaend and approved by the Mayor on the 20th day of Merck 1956. By way of clarification it is understood that this approval covers the sale of government securities as stipulated in said Ordinance #1321. Finally this approval will terminate at the expiration of the term of office of ,the present Finance Committee of the City. LITTLE, QUILCENE RIVER DIVERSION DAM AND PIPELINE BIDS As this was the time and place bet for the opening of bids for the Little Quilcene River Diversion Dam and Pipeline, Bids were opened as follows: Cotton Engineering and Shipbuilding Corp, Port Townsend, Wash. ^7126,531.00 Louis Elterich Company, Port Angeles, Wash. r113,524.00 Shoreline Construction Co., Seattle, Wash. R23,600.50 r Johnson -Imhof, Buckley, Wash. �133,385.15 RECESS It was moved by Councilman Siebonbaum and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the Council recess for consideration of the bids. Upon roll call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the offirmativo and motion carried. I RECONVENE AND ROLL CALL 1 ,After a short recess the Council reconvened and Officers and members present were as follows: Mayor George Bangerter, City Attorney Stovena, City Clerk Ryan and Councilmen Lindsey, Mueller,Avery, Siebenbaum and Sullivan. :i It was moved by Councilman Siebenbsum and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the Bid of Louis Elterich Company of Port Angeles being the beat and the lowest that,that Bid be accepted. Upon roll call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carried.Included in the motion was that bid bonds of the unsucessful bidders be returned. ORDINANCE NO. 1325 i j The above Ordinance was read to the Council for the first reading at the regular session of July 3, 1956 , a copy is attached to the minutac of that meeting and thereby incorporated in those minutes. It was moved by Councilman Siobonbaum and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the jfirst reading be considered tho second reading and that the third reading be by tittle on] upon roll call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carri - � THIRD READING AND PASSAGE Ordinance No. 1325 was read for the third reading by title only and it was moved by Mueller and seconded by Councilman Avery that the Ordinance do now pass. Upon roll call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion carried. .� UNFINNISHED AND NEST BUSINESS City Engineer Jones submitted a plat of the Carroll's addition to the City of Port Townsend and stated that he would like to have the City Street Supt. and the Street CJ L`J 1 11 El I I I MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION Committee go look the situation over before approval by the Council. It was moved by Councilman Mueller and seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the bids which had been under study and consideration for the Big Quilcene Pipeline Tunnel, That ell bids be rejected and that Bid Bonds of the uns%icessful bidders be returned. Upon roll call vote nil. Sdatfr Councilmen present voted i*i the affirmative and motion carried. Five - Councilman Siebenbaun informed the Council that City Engineer Jones had contacted the proper authorities in Olympia on the City's filing for Water Rights on the Dosewellips River, and that City Engineer Jones was awaiting word from Olympia. ADJOURNMENT As there was no further business to come before the Council at this time, it was movod by Councilman Siebenbaum and seconded by Councilman Lindsey that the meeting Adjourn.
