The City Council'of the City of Port Townsend, Washington met in regular session this 15th day of may, 1956, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, %yor George bangertar presiding. ROLL 6AL Officers and members present were as follows: Mayor Bangerter, City Attornai Stevens, City Clark Ryan and Councilmen Avery, Siabanbaums Ellin, Lindsey, Steve and Mueller, MINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION The minutes of the previous session were read in full and it was moved by Councilman Mueller and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the minutes be approved as read and that the Miyor and City Clark be authorized to sign same. Upon roll call vo" all seven Coun- oilman present voted in the affirmativo,and motion carried. COUNCILMAN SULLIVAN ARRIVES Councilman Sullivan arrived during the reading of the minutes and participated in the rest of the a6ssiono REPORT OF OFFICERS Treasurer The treasurer's report for the month of May, 1956 was read and was 'referred to the Finance Commitiee, Ohisf ,of Police The Chief of Police' report f6r the month of April 3956ywad read and was ordered filed BUILDING PERMITS The following Building permits were presented and read: William M. Woods,Eract Homa,26=,and Detached Garages 20X22# Frames Sims Way & Cloveland,89(00100 It was moved by Councilman Siabenbaum and seconded by Councilman Avery that the Building permits be granted. Upon roll call vote all seven Councilmen present voted in the qff-11`48 affirmative and ?action carried, COMMUNICATIONS From Harold L. McIntire to -wit: April 23, 1956 Mayor & City Council Port Thwnzandt Washington Ladies and Gentlemen: I request EL permit to lay 1000 lix. ft. of 8 inch sewer line, plum one manhole on alley between Tremont and Milo streets. Said sower line to meet 7. Engineers speoifteations. Sincer;sly, Harold L. McIntire It was moved by Councilman Steve and seconded by Councilman Lindsay that the permit be granted. Upon roll call vote all seven Councilman present voted in the affirmative and notion carried. From Keith F. Jones City Engineer to -wit: REPORT AND ESTIMATE FOR REPLACING ALL WOOD WATER MAINS jIj WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON TO:HONORABLE XAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON Attached is a copy -of the revised estimatefor the replacement of the remaining wood water mains within the City Limits of Part Townsend. This estimate also includes the construction of a now 4 inch main on Kuhn and 57th streets with a loop back to 49th street.
