Re: Hastings Avenue Water Line Councilman Lammers stated that for many years it has been the policy for the Water Department and the Water Committee of the City Council to insist upon prospective customers for extensions and new lines, to sign up for a tap on said line and pay in advance for subh tap, and recommended that this be done in the present case of the Hastings Avenue extension Taxi License Granted It was moved by Councilman Robert Brown, seconded by Councilman Richards, that a lic- ense to operate a "For Hire Car" in the City of Port Townsend, as requested in a written communication read at the last regular session, and referred to the License Committee, be granted to Richard R. Jensen. Motion carried. Re: Fire Alarm Repair City Attorney Daly reported that he had been advised that the Puget Sound Power & Light Company planned to start work upon the overhaul of the fire alarm system according to agreement entered into with the City, upon completion of necessary maintenance work at Quilcene, which in all probability, would be around the first of the coming month. ADJOURNMENT No further business appearing at this time for consideration by the Council, it was moved by Councilman Richards, seconded by Councilman Sullivan, that the Council do now adjourn. Port Townsend, Washington March 5, 1940 The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular session this 5th day of March, 1940, at 7:30 o'clock, P.M., at the Council Chambers in the City Hal , Mayor H. L. Hirtzler presiding. ROLL CALL - Upon Roll Call, officers and Members answering present were as follows: Mayor H.L. Hirtzler, City Attorney, W. J. Daly, City Clerk, C. F. Christian, and Councilmen C. E. Richards, Robt. W. Brown, Wm. Lammers, Sr., Dennis Sullivan, Fred G. Lewis, and Phillip E. Brown. MINUTES APPROVED It was moved by Councilman Robt. Brown, seconded by Councilman Richards, that the minutes of the previous session, be approved as written. Motion carried.
