Re: ,;.P.A. Sidewalk Project
It was moved by Councilman Aobt. Drown, and seconded by Councilman 16aroldo, that the
City Clerk be instructed to write Yr. 17. A. Buggee, Jef_crson County Enginoer, requesting
that he draw up a new project for installation of sidewalks by use of 'ii.P.A. labor. Motion
carried.
It was moved by Councilman I.:aroldo, and seconded by Councilman Sullivan, that the
L:ayor be authorized to voucher Jefferson County Commissioners for the sum of money
appropriated by said Corrmissione-s for the year 1939, for the purpose of obtaining side -
appropriated adjacent to property owned by Jefferson County, Liotion carried.
Re: Unsafe Sidewalks
The ratter of the unsafe condition of the West portion of the sidewalk on the South
side of eater Street, between Tyler & Polk Streets, was brought to the attention of the
Council by Councilman Lewis, and after a discussion was referred to the Street Committee
for investigation: and report.

The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, met in regular (called)
session this 9th day of January, 1940, at 7:30 oFclock, P.LI., in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall, Mayor Hirtzler presiding.
ROLL CALL
Upon Roll Call, Officers and members answering present were: Llayor It. L. Hirtzler;
City Clerk, C. F. Christian, and Councilmen Sim. Lammers, Sr., Phillip E. Brown, J.F.
Liaroldo, and hobt. 1'1. Brown; Councilman Sullivan arriving later in the session.

It was moved by Councilman hobt. Brown, seconded by Councilman Liaroldo, that the
minutes of the last regular session be approved as written. Motion carried.
It visa moved by Councilman aobt. Brown, and seconded by Councilman Liaroldo that, in
view of the fact that it was necessary to clear up all bills of the past year, the rules 4
of the Council be suspended to allow the consideration of bills m d claims in order that th
City Clerk might properly close the books of his office. motion carried.

upon the proper funds in payment thereof.
Upon roll call vote, all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative,a nd the
motion eras declared carried.
