REPORTS OF OFFICERS
£ :"e City Attorney Daly reported that he had received a telephone call from Sir. C.C. Bartlet
X;S '{•, stating that a number of small fish had been found in the crater drawn from the faucets at hi
home. In reply, Water Superintendant Lockhart stated that the fish were a species known as
chubs, and that their presence was due to the spawn, which is very small, passing through
the screens in the main line and hatching in the reservoir. He stated further that the
excessive use of water during the unusually warm weather of the past few days had caused the
¢. fish to be drawn into the distribution system, and that as soon as practical, the reservoir
;r M'a'r s'.;, would be drained and cleaned, thereby eliminating this trouble.
